Those people who are playing Engineered Explosives in your sideboard, I have a few questions:

How many are you playing?
What cards are you bringing it against?
What does it have to offer over the alternatives?
When it damages your own side, does this matter?

E.g. if you bring it against 40-x land then how does it compare with simply Krosan Grip and when you kill their enchantment, is the loss of your own 1 drops a bad thing?

I keep going back and forth on the idea but it would be easier to hear people's opinions before tanking into testing :)

Mine are mainly to clear tokens and CotV.

Against Lands you need to bring in all three Price of Progress. Saying I run two MD and I never saw one in both games against Lands.dec last night. It was freaking depressing.

I am in the process of changing up my SB, and EE may not make the cut, let me test over the weekend and I will post some ideas on Sunday/Monday :)

I played against the same Lands deck last night and managed to win 2-0. The first game, he didn't see any acceleration in the form of Manabond, Exploration, or Loam, so I took that game and the 2nd game I had a turn 0 Leyline which he couldn't play around. I think a lot of decks are no longer playing Krosan Grip with the downturn in Counter-Top decks showing up!

It was Rik's Thopter Depths deck that made me cry. I made a couple of simple errors which I will need to watch in the future, like walking a turn 2 Pridemage into a Daze, when I know Rik has an unhealthy love of counterspells! I have been giving this matchup a lot of thought and have a few ideas I want to test out tonight.

I am also worried about the large numbers that Survival Bant has been putting up on the continent. Anyone got any ideas on how to beat this monster?

After my run of luck in the last 6 months, I think I was due :) Besides, you are in the top 35 eternal players in the UK, so shush!

My Doctor says it's healthy to have a love for SOMETHING! If it wasn't for counter magic my life would be an endless ocean of pain, heartache and misery... And Bob; Bob can come to my party too.

What do people think about Retribution of the Meek against Depths/ Progenitus/ Dreadnaught/ Your opponent having more Goyfs than you?

Seems better in Tiny Katsu.

Card type: Sorcery

Casting cost: 2W

Oracle text: Destroy all creatures with power 4 or greater. They can't be regenerated.

Doesn't kill Marit Lage, she and Dreadnaught are typically killed by Paths and stuff, being 2 cheaper and instant speed. It does deal with Progenitus but i'm not sure it's worth the slot.

Any updates on recommendations for Zoo sideboarding? I'm considering 1-2 Ranger of Eos, who seems pretty good in the mirror and against other creature decks.

I like Retribution of the Meek in Katsu a lot as it only hit your goyf sometimes though I would like to see someone play Lavaball trap now thats living the dream. though I can't see it in a Zoo list anytime soon would be good for a R/x list maybe U/R or stompy Imagine that takeout two of your lands 4 damagae to everything and in my turn I'll drop the Fatty. lol
