Ordering cards from Magic Madhouse

Postby Mictlantecuhtli » Mon Feb 08, 2010 1:34 pm

I don't know if it's just me or it happens to more people. The last two times i have tried to order cards online from magicmadhouse.co.uk, i get stuck in the checkout and am unable to finish the order. Their system fails to launch the Paypal checkout or process the credid/debit card payment.

Last time (a couple of months ago) i was only able to finish the order while chatting with Mike from Madhouse via MSN (while he was fiddling with the checkout system). I thought the problem would have been fixed after that but it happened again this weekend while i was trying to put another order.

I'll probably contact him again, but i was wondering if anyone has experienced the same thing.

I have tried with Firefox (from home) and Explorer (from home and from work), both giving the same result :(

Magic Madhouse carry good stock of most cards and are surprisingly cheaper than Manaleak.

It's a little bit of swings and roundabouts. I always shop around when I am buying cards, and the variation on some of the less common cards can be significant. Sometimes ManaLeak has the better price, sometimes Magic Madhouse, sometimes Psisoft. The truth is that there are so many cards that no small supplier (ie, few staff) can possibly keep up with the changing prices.

That said, I have had issues with Magic Madhouse that I have not had with ManaLeak or Psisoft. These issues revolved around items that were not actually in stock, despite the website saying they were, and how the business handled that. While I would still shop from Madhouse, I would only want to do so if the savings over other vendors were significant.

The way I see it, relying on instants to fight Solidarity would be like siding in a few slivers against CounterSlivers: it seems like a good idea to have a couple of big fat slivers on your side, but they just have more. -Mictlantecuhtli

Most of my dealings are with Manaleak as they have always treated me well and will go out of their way to help me so I have stuck fairly loyal to them for online purchases and although in small number, TWAU for buying singles at Richmond events.
