And that became just even more interesting. What I'm curious about though, is the venue. You mention accommodation is free, and we're supposed to bring sleeping bags - how and where is that done? Thanks

You're probably right that I should include more information on that. I think I'm speaking to the people that have already been to one of these events and not to those that may be coming for the first time.

The History

The event first took place at the AEI Henley Sports Club (who shall no longer be mentioned :-( ). They let us camp on their sports field. People were allowed to bring tents. However, as May can still be pretty chilly most people didn't bother going back to their tents, instead choosing to lay sleeping bags in the the venue and kip on the floor.

2010

The current venue is in town so no tents I'm afraid however the owner has said that we may still sleep at the venue. They don't have sleeping amenities (showers etc) however there are obviously toilets for get cleaned up in.

For those that prefer not to rough it I'm reliably informed that there are a number of good, cheap B&Bs in Gravesend.
Cheers
Glen

Hey Glen

Just a quick one, but does the £40 pre-reg fee include the BoM trials or will that be charged seperately? I just wanted to know before I paid up :)

Basically you can choose one event per day.

So...

Legacy or Gpt
Bom trial or PTQ
Bom Trial or Nats Q

I would like to announce that the North will have at least one representative at the event: just booked my train journey for this (£35 return from Newcastle :D )! Now i just need to start thinking about accommodation (too old for the sleeping bag/no shower thing :? ) I'll be pre-registering next month after the paycheck comes.

So...

Legacy or Gpt
Bom trial or PTQ
Bom Trial or Nats Q

So I will be coming to this and probably doing

Legacy Nats
PTQ (play in BoM Vintage if I scrub out)
BoM Legacy

Sounds very awesome - I will prob be sleeping at the venue in a sleeping bag!

That's cool, can you let me know if you find any good accommodation deals? I'm torn between this and GP:Lyon at the moment...

Hi,
I'm thinking of doing the 3 days, but I have no vintage deck for obvious monetary reasons :)

Do you think playing a legacy deck in a vintage event would be completly ridiculous or can it work, as an extended deck in a legacy event ???
Ca va bien se passer !!!

I used to play with my Countertop against Vintage decks at the Games Club. It is really hard to win because of the tricks we are not used to play against in Legacy, but not impossible.

Also: if you let them resolve a single spell you loose :? Watch out for Oath of Druids, Tinker, Ancestral Recall and the like...

Just pre-registered online! Also, chances are that more people from Newcastle will be there.

@ PhanTom: Still haven't looked into accommodation but will let you know when i do :)
